About

This is a group of amateur “ham” radio operators who currently have a valid license from the Federal Communications Commission and were first licensed 25 or more years ago. They typically meet on the first Saturday of each month at 11:00 AM in the Midway Point Sports Bar and Grill. Lunch and conversation precede the formal meeting time. Programs are a presentation related to amateur radio or a video of interest to the membership. This is the Dallas, Texas chapter of the Quarter Century Wireless Association.

QCWA Chapter 41 is called The Barney Moffett Memorial Chapter in memory of former member Barney Moffett, W5CJZ.

Membership in QCWA Chapter 41 is available to any current member of the Quarter Century Wireless Association, Inc (QCWA) who completes and submits a QCWA Chapter 41 Registration Form available in the box flash widget in the right-hand column of this website. A variety of QCWA membership options are available at Join QCWA Now. Membership in QCWA Chapter 41 is FREE. Lunch is Dutch treat – each person pays for their own lunch; the server records each person’s order under their first name, and gratuity is included automatically in each bill.

  1. Hello Chapter 41 Director,
I moved to Dallas last year. I see that your website hasn’t been updated in a while. Is this chapter active? If not I would like to join an active Chapter in the area if you can recommend one?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    • QCWA Chapter 41 no longer meets in person. However, I think they might still meet on the air on Sunday mornings at 7:15 am local time on 3.835 MHz +/-.
It looks like Chapter 72 in Fort Worth might be active. See .
